Re: Wedding Bands
well, they don't 'have' to match if you guys don't want them to...mine is white gold, and my FH's is tungsten...two different colors...we both have to be happy with our individual bands cause we have to wear them....but you would definitely match your eng. ring....
he might just have to give in....lol

Re: Wedding Bands
i don't think it matters if both arent the same color, but you can compromise and get your band half yellow and white. two tone rings look really gorgeous.

It isn't a big deal if they don't match. Mine is white gold and matches my e-ring and FH's is white gold with a different design.

Re: Wedding Bands
I say you get what you want and he gets what he wants...I think that the whole idea of matching wedding bands isn't necessarily held up anymore since a lot of brides have diamond bands and there is really no way to match that for guys...my band is platnium w/ diamonds and my husbands is 2-tone white and yellow gold...but we both love them so it doesn't matter IMO

I dont think you necessarily ahve to match your hubby - this way you both can be happy. Me and Dh bot have Whote gold but they arent similiar in design.. however, my sister has a platnium blinb bling ring and her DH has a plain white gold band.
If it bugs you that much... veto him, woman should always win- s o much for marriage being a compromise

Re: Wedding Bands
My FH and i had a similar problem over the weekend. While shopping for our bands he found a titanium ring with a diamond in the center and some sort of black cord that goes on both sides of the diamond.
I couldn't believe he wanted that as his wedding band, it looked like a regular ring!
I was trying so hard to talk him out of it but finally my best friend walked over and told me that even though it's not the exact ring I pictured him having at least it'll be something he likes and I shouldn't give him a problem over what he likes (I usually do since I'm more traditional and he's more contemporary) and that I need to learn how to compromise.
I fianlly caved (something I hardly do) and let him get the ring. He was so happy and can't stop talking about it. It was nice to see him so excited about it instead of unhappy with a ring I forced him to get.

Re: Wedding Bands
it really doesn't matter nowadays. FH and I have two different bands. They don't match - mine is white gold with diamonds all along the top of the band and his is a plain titanium band.

Re: Wedding Bands
let him have his white gold...if he actually cares that much.
when we went to pick one out for DH he told the jewler, 'yellow i guess' knowing he could give a rat's heiny, i butted in, 'only white gold please.' and that was that.
but if he wants yellow, let him have it. it truly won't matter.
