we went to our jewler about 3 weeks ago, and he had them ready a week later. I guess it depends if your ordering them online or buying from a jewler, and ours were custom.

It took us forever to find our wedding bands - we started (informally) looking for rings MONTHS ago. That said, you can really go the month before your wedding to get your rings - it usually takes about 2 weeks, but give yourself time to FIND the styles you want etc.
If you want them custom made, some places tell you to go at LEAST 2 months before so they can do molds etc etc. Although our rings were custom and only took about 2 weeks, so it depends on the jeweler.

We got FH ring in like 2 wks if even, but his was very simple band and mine took about 3 wks. Both came in much earlier than anticipated. Your wedding is in Dec? Might want to start looking now and order end of Oct - beginning Nov to leave yourself enough time, plus once they come in you'll need time to send your e-ring and wedding ring to be cleaned and polished... that's about another week.

Mine was ready in a week. It just had to be sized. FH got his the day we picked it. We got ours from Helzberg Diamonds.
Mine didn't take long at all...our jeweler made mine and it took about a week. My FH's ring needed to be ordered in his size and that took about 2 weeks. I would suggest going about a month in advance or so just to be on the safe side!

I walked out of the store with mine. I had a lucky ring size that day. They had both the plain band and eternity band I wanted in my size.
DH's took 4 weeks to come in. He had a platinum plain band matching mine. (No rings were special order)
I think we got them in May for our August wedding.
