I'm getting married in less than 3 weeks and need recommendations of jewelers from you girls. FH wants the pipe style plain platinum band but I've been to many jewelers in the diamond district who all say it needs to be custom made and are charging about 1500. For 1700 I can get it from tiffanys; Any help would be appreciated.
I used a great jeweler in the diamond district for my e-ring setting & wedding band..he's got great pricing...and although he specializes in antique styles he has what your FH wants on his site...it says out of stock but i would try calling him.
go to my jewler by canal street. Talk to Sue (the owner) she is great with working with you on price and has tons and tons of things to choose from.

I don't know where you live but I got my bands custom made from Thomas jewlers in NJ. I swore i wouldnt goto one of those jewlery factorys because i thought the jewlery there was cheap looking (most of it was) but it was really the best thing i ever did. I love my bands. I think he was in Paramus, i have to look it up so FM me if you want the info. It was about 1,200 for 2 platnium bands with 6 little diamond chips

Gennaro in Bellmore Village, my wedding bands and Dhs cost us the prices that you have been quoted for just the one band.
Also, remember right now the price of platinum has gone up so you will pay more for it then normal

Please be aware that many jewelers in the diamond district are now closed until July 14th for what is know as 'the Jewelers Holiday'
