question....maybe this is a silly question...but are you supposed to wear your wedding band at all times?? If that's the case wont the eternity band lose diamonds...etc and then wouldn't a metal band be more of a daily ring???

Most people wear their wedding ring (band) every day. Many people wear both the wedding ring and the ering, sometimes the ering on the right hand, or together if it's comfortable.
Rings shouldn't be losing stones if they're made properly, but if you're concerned, sometimes people get an 'everyday' band if they have jobs that require them working a lot with their hands.

It's really personal preference - I've seen people wear both, one, or neither. I know that I whack my hands around a lot so I'm likely going to get a plain band and wear both together. FMIL only wears her wedding band.
