Wedding Bands

I saw a diamond band that I fell in love with at Tri County. It was a little over 1 karat, and the price I was quoted after negotiations was $1400, which would include a simple band for FH - which is what he wants.

FH mentioned this to a friend who just got married (though I don't know what his wife's band looks like) and the friend said bands shouldn't be more then $700 total.

HELP. Is that a good price? WHat are you all paying for diamond bands?? I'm clueless here.

We're paying close to what you were quoted - I think that's a great price for a 1 carat band for you as well as one for him.

We got close to a 1 carat for mine, and FH got a white gold one w/ a design to it - and definitely spent more than $700.

we paid a little less than that for my band and it's 1 carat. but that's pretty good b/c that includes your FH's band. maybe see if they can bring it down one more time! can't hurt!

mine was a over a carat and I spent more than 1400 (mine was made at kristins jewelers) . fh has 3/4 ct of diamonds in his and we spen t 850 on his (his is from tri county and that where we found the best price for his)

i have pics of my band in my album its less than a carat its .60, its all micro pave chips kinda untradtional but i love it and FH band is a very simple white gold band and we're paying 1050 total for both also bought at tri-county

My wedding band is 1.42 carats and was $1800...FH was like 'of course you want that one' but I just felt like I needed it because my engagement ring is a little plainer....

Yeah mine is a simple solitaire, that I LOVE but I want my band to be flashy. Can always upgrade E ring, but I'd feel funny doing that to the band.
