wedding bands... in need of advice!

Ladies, it is getting to that time when we need to start looking at wedding rings. I wanted to know, is it true that I buy his ring and he buys mine? How many of you did that or did it diff? And then the next question is if u did buy his, how much did it run u around? TIA!

I actually paid for both of ours but what you said is traditional. .. FH is in school right now and as he bought my engagement ring which was WAY more than both of ours combined. . I just thought it was fair. . though he did offer to pay for mine . . men's are pretty inexpensive esp if they aren't getting diamonds

A lot of people follow this tradition but it doesn't have to be done this way. I knew my ring would cost more than his because he did not want diamonds or anything on his band so we just split the cost of both rings 50/50. Mine only wound up being about $400 more than his so it didn't really make a huge difference either way though.

We are paying for the wedding together so we are both paying for the rings as well. We are already getting into the whole... my money is your money idea lol ... Each of our rings were about 1,800 each b.c we both got sick rings with diamonds on them lol .... At first he didnt want his to be as bling blinging...but I told him hes going to wear it for the rest of his life and when he looks down, I want him to have that WOW factor.

We bought each other our rings. We got 25% off at Fortunoff a few weeks ago. :) And yes, FH's ring was actually more than mine!!!

I actually told him to pay for his own ring and I'd pay for mine. Since he spent so much on my ering and now I want an eternity band ($4,000) i said I would pay for it and he is only going to get a titanium ring for now...he'll probably get a dress one down the road but he needs an everyday ring for now.

In the end it really doesn't matter becasue if one of us is broke it will affect the other so I just thought it would be less stress on him and I can get the ring I want.

he's buying mine and i'm buying his. His is actually costing more than mine about 1900. It should have been a lot more but the jeweler gave me a crazy deal b/c we're getting my ring there too. Pics are in album.

We included our rings as part of the wedding budget and we went together to get them. We paid $580 for both and that included the Zales protection plan. We didn't want to spend a ton of money on rings.

Mine is a small channel set band with diamonds and FH got tungsten or titanium or one of those other weird metals.

We will buy them together since all of our money is 'ours' but his will be dirt cheap since he's not crazy about any kind of jewelry. We are surprising each other with engravings that we'll only see the day of the wedding though. He keeps joking and saying he's going to write something from Lord of the Rings!

I don't know who paid, lol... we have a joint account for all of our bills and wedding stuff and it came out of there... We both have $ direct deposited to the account so, who knows

we each paid for the others. i am not sure if that is how it is suppose to be. i didn't mind since his was less than mine. i spent about 2,500 on his ring.
