Wedding bands on a 'budget'
Hi all! Did anyone look into pricing for any bands? We have our heart set on a band but working out my budget, I think we could only afford something that cost max $5,000 (and that would be if I could very strictly stick to my budgets in all other areas). I know a lot of prices I've seen people mention were $7-$8k+ but did anyone get quotes from any bands for around $5k or less? Would you be willing to share the band/quote? And the real question: did you think they were actually a 'good' band?I saw an ad for a band called Silver Arrow Band that (on their website) says they start at $1,800 and go up from there. Has anyone used or heard them in action?

Look into After Hours ... I saw them at the expo and they were amazing. Granted it was two years ago almost but After Hours is SO reasonable with everything. I remember thinking their price for a band was very reasonable and we really considered it but ultimately we booked After Hours as a DJ :)

First of all, I think all bands are negotiable. Obviously within reason but I've found that most are willing to work within a budget. The Touch and The Greg Smith Group are both is around $5K. Also check out Sam Hill Entertainment--there are a few bands within the $5-7.5K range and if you negotiate with them, you can probably get lower than $5k. I know that The Benjamins are one of their bands. You may also want to look for vendors on Gigmasters.com---bands will submit quotes for you and then you can check them out once you know their price!

The cheapest I found was $5500 back in 2012 when I started planning. My budget was 10k and I am paying 8500. I would look at all bands and go to a showcase. Don't go with the cheapest band just to have a band your paying all that money to have them sound good. I would look into a band/ dj combo!Welcome New Vendors
