Re: wedding bands - tri county
i have a specific recommendation of a jeweler at Tri-County. They are called Turkan and my mom has been using them for a while. She gets all of her jewelry there and I've gotten some things there also. I am definitely going to get my bands there. They are very reasonably priced. When you get off the elevator upstairs they are located to your left all the way in the corner. If you have any questions ask me.

Re: wedding bands - tri county
I recommend not using any jewelers from Tri-County. No offense to anyone who has bought from them or plans to buy from them, but in my opinion, you buy t-shirts and scrungees at a flea-market- not jewelry. Most of those guys who sell jewelry are very shady, not very knowledgable and are scam artists.
Here's and example: I happened to be in there one day, and decided to look at the rings upstairs to kill time before meeting a friend for lunch. When I asked the man at one booth if a particular ring was platinum or white gold, so I could get an idea of pricing, he said 'I don't carry platinum. It's no good. Anyone who buys it is stupid because it will turn black in a few years and there is no way to clean it.' Obviously this is untrue, and told him he didn't know what he was talking about, my engagement ring is platinum and neither I nor my fiance are 'stupid'. He said it will turn black in a few years with out a doubt. I aksed him how he explained the fact that my grandmother's ring is platinum and she has it for over 45 years and it looks brand new. He said 'it is not platinum, it must be white gold'. At that point, I walked away. This guy was a moron.
Another time, with FH, one guy asked to see my ring and proceeded to check it and asked what we paid for it. He said we got ripped off, it was worth $1000 less than FH paid! I was very very upset and so was my fiance. The guy offered to take it as a trade in, and give us a deal on another diamond. We went to two other jewelers out of the flea market to have it appraised that day, and it turned out the guy was a liar. Isn't that a terrible thing to do to someone!
The point of these stories is the lack of professionalism of the jewelers at the flea market. And while the actions of a few should not represent the integrity of all of them, I feel that most of them are of a lower caliber. I suggest going to an established jeweler, or even retail store such as fortunoff. Also be sure to check the BBB website for complaints before making a major purchase like a wedding band.
Once again, no offense to anyone, just wanted to share my experiences.
