is there any general rule as to who buys the wedding bands (ie. the girl buys it for the guy, and vice versa). how are you guys doing it?

i switched companies and got severence pay so I bought ours with that. I don't think it matters who buys them!

We each bought each other's wedding bands. Well, I put them both on my credit card, but FH gave me the money for mine when it came time to pay the bill. According to Jewish tradition, he has to give me something he owns (which will be the ring), so it was very important to us that he pay for it in full. Although in this instance he got the better deal - his ring cost way more than mine! (okay, fine, he did fork over $$ for my e-ring, so he still spent more...)

since it's so close to the wedding...we are both buying them. hs money is my money and vice versa (We didn't think it mattered) it's coming form the same place one way or the other.

It's customary for the grrom to buy both bands. But I'm buying his, and he's buying mine. Who goes by the book anymore anyway?

I'm sure I'll pay for both. My FH is a PhD student and rather poor. I have a decently paying job. I payed for part of my e-ring, and after the wedding what difference does it make.

We havent really discussed it, I dont think it will really matter in the end....
