sometimes i wish the wedding would be over already - this weekend FH were talking and we were saying how we wish we could just elope and move on with our lives
for me, the anitcipation of the wedding is killing me! the actual wedding day seems so far away - so i try and think of other wedding related things to keep my mind occupied - but the things that i do look foward to doing before the wedding - like getting my dress in, sending invitations, taking epics with AG, the bachelorette party - all those things are really far away too!
someone please tell me it will go fast we've been engaged 9 months and we have 7 months 20 something days left....and it feels like forever!!
anyone else know what i mean?

Re: wedding blues
I know what you mean. I've felt like that MANY times. We've been engaged for over 2 years already. Its funny, yesterday I was telling FH I just want to elope and be his wife already. Are there any little projects you can do to keep you in the wedding mood? I'm just a week before you and I've been doing lil stuff. I made my cardbox, but need to add lil stuff to it. I'm making my menus and invites (have been working on those forever) but i want to finish the samples soon. This keeps me in the wedding mode.

Re: wedding blues
yes i know how you feel. but look at it this way - its already mid april - then may - memorial day - then you have the summer - summer will fly by - 4th of july----- before you know it, its going to be labor day and spetemeber - then you;re at halloween, thanksgiving and you'll be writing OMG where did 2008 go? so enjoy it :)
------
well if you have time on your hands now this is what you can do:
order card box think about the readings, menus/programs play list table numbers/pictures
believe me these are the things that i waited with till the last minute and i'm eliminating them off my list bc i waited till the end.

i think a part of it is also wishing we could go back to our normal life before wedding planning when the wedding wasnt on my mind 24/7, when we werent saving every penny for the wedding, sometimes it feels like its holding us back from doing things we want because we have to keep saving its not bad and i love planning the wedding its just sometimes i wish my mind was clear and we didnt have the wedding hanging over our heads....

trust me it goes by fast. Its going to hit suddenly too thats the whole thing about it lol. I remember hitting 6 months and it was like oh wow will be here pretty soon. But after that time just really flies by, next thing you know its 5 months, then 4 months, then 3 months and then time is going by too fast. I look now at my countdown and im like HOLY SH*T is this for real, when the h*ll did this happen now i say OMG go slower i need more time to finish things plus dont forget for some reason summer goes by fast

so true i keep saying to FH WOO HOO in 6 weeks we can spend money a bit more freely, i can shop and buy things JUST because lol. I don't have to worry about having a large amount of money in a short period of time. We can focus on other things and go out to dinners again like we used to hahahahaha. I wont have 20 things that must be done in x amount of time

Re: wedding blues
i agree entirely about having a life again and the money thing. FH and I are afraid to spend a dime. We have a decent savings but we dont want to be wiped out. Also im looking to change jobs, but i c cant because of the wedding ... i cant wait to be on a plane for my honeymoon.
Im over my own wedding.

Re: wedding blues
I am a month b/4 you and i am already feeling the nervousness that there is not enough time and I will never get everything done.....i am excited and can not wait and want to fast forward, but the catch is that if i fast forward every thing i want will magically be done and I will have no worries.... now all i do is worry and figure out when things need to be done and trying to come up with new different ideas for my wedding to make it unique and figuring out where the hell i am going to get this $$ from... oh great, now i am having palputations

Re: wedding blues
Sorry to crash but I have to tell you that time is going to FLY BY. My year and a half engagement flew and in 6 weeks I will be married for 1 year. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. I still haven't even submitted my pictures for the albums, the enlargements or anything for my video. I have to be the worst 'bride' ever
Before you know it, it will all be over.

Re: wedding blues
I totally understand. I told FH that we should've just eloped also a few weeks ago when I needed to take a wedding planning break. I think saving all the $$, and all the planning just gets to you and you want to just have it done and over with. I know that's how I feel. Time is truly flying by....we'll be in Dec. before you know it. As Denise said the summer always fly's by really fast.
I can't wait to have disposable cash again, FH was complaining about that this weekend as well....savings is no fun...but it'll all be worth it in the end!
Cheer up and you'll be there soon!
