Hey Girls, I recently booked my hall. Obviously, this is a major deal. Anyway, I was hoping that now that was done, I could sit back and enjoy being engaged for a bit. Is this OK to do lol or should I be booking, booking, booking?

Re: Wedding Bookings
I would look around and book the major vendors as soon asyou can. Alot of vendors are booking up. Since you're getting married during a big wedding season, vendors will book alot more quickly at that time.

Re: Wedding Bookings
Hmm that makes me nervous. The big vendors are so expensive. Do they usually make payment plans with you?

I can't beleive how insane this is. People have next May booked already!!! Its more than a year away! I really have to book everything now. The major things are what takes the energy and time.

Re: Wedding Bookings
I'm about a month after you and I have all of my major vendors done. I would definitely get your band/dj, photo/video, florist, and limos done. THEN you can relax a little

Re: Wedding Bookings
Yea it doesn't hurt to start meeting with vendors soon. This way if they arent booked yet, you can give yourself enough time to see whats out there and pick what you like best....instead of having to book with someone because that's all thats left lol Good Luck!

Agreed - plus, this thing will start to fall in to place - try not to worry about it! Once the major vendors are booked - you can def sit back and relax for a little.

My wedding is 8/21/10 & I have all my major vendors booked. The early bird gets the good vendors. I would bust a move because your wedding is in May 2010. Good luck.......don't stress we are all here for you if you need any help!

Re: Wedding Bookings
I would definitely look into band/dj and photographer. These are two big vendors that book quick. At least with florists, most do a few weddings a day so you can hold off for awhile on that, same with limos.
Good luck!

Re: Wedding Bookings
I then did Chiurch, DJ, and photog.... I think I am going to take a little break from the planning for a bit. Not that i am not collecting ideas but the vendor hunting is gonna take a back seat for a little bit

Re: Wedding Bookings
Hmm Ok. It seems a little more reasonable to focus on the photographer and the dj then follow up with the other things later on. These places make payment plans right?

Re: Wedding Bookings
im getting married in 2011 and all i have left of the big vendors is my dj. I also did this so i can get a better time frame to pay the vendors.
