Wedding Brunch

Wedding Brunch

Hi!

We just recently got engaged, and my FH just got a job offer starting August 2011 after he completes grad school in May. In between May and August, we need to A. find an apt in Manhattan, B. move from DC, C. take a loong vacation (Honeymoon) through Europe for a few weeks before the job starts, and D. get married.

We are rushing to book a venue for June 25...church is booked. We are planning this from out of town, and we no longer reside in the same city (5 hours apart). I was thinking of a wedding brunch, and am meeting with Lombardi's on the Sound on Saturday. Does anyone have any thoughts on a low-key brunch and any idea on cost? Frankly, we would rather take an awesome trip than have a huge wedding!

Thanks!

Ali

Re: Wedding Brunch

Actually this was my original plan!!!!!!!!!!! I got alot of good price quotes, but went with the venue we felt we were getting the most. For a sunday brunch DM was going to charge us $65 pp, the hamlet windwatch was $85, fox hollow was like $75 or $77, swan club was like $73, dowling was $85. All of the RHs I asked for brunch buffets and some of them wear just going to put out bagels and muffins and stuff like that. I wasn't really into what they were offering When FH and I went to westbury manor we asked to do a buffet brunch and they stated that they really don't do buffets or switch up the menu. They then told me that if we had the wedding there the guest would have a choice of 7 sit down dinners. My BM also told me that prior to the ceremony they would have continental breakfast for the guests. So you know in my head I was think what the hell is all this going to cost. Well we when she said $77pp for all that plus CH and linens, chair covers and sashes I was ecstatic!!!!!!!! Please FM me if you have questions!!!!!
I forgot to add north ritz too, they were $85.
