Wedding Budget

Not including your honeymoon about how much are you budgeting for your wedding?

I sometimes visit the weddingbee message boards and some people's budgets are $1500 - $5000. I'm budgeting way more than that (in fact we spent that on a photographer). Is it just a regional thing? Because most of my friends/family spent more than 30k on a Long Island wedding.

Believe it or not we actually didn't set a budget. We are trying to make smart choices, but are picking what we want. It's looking to be somewhere around the 35K area. p.s. yay for being a 7/4 bride :)

Wedding Budget

Ours was 35k, but it's been bumped up to about 40k. I kind of expected to go a little over. Long Island is one of the most expensive places in the US to get married. The expectation is also very high here. Other regions don't do weddings like we do!

Yeah, that is why I am dedicated to liweddings only! My fiance's upstate family would die if they knew our budget was around 30k...and here I am thinking that's being smart!

Our budget is 30k but we're pretty sure it probably be closer to 35k-40k. And don't worry, that's not at all unusual for a Long Island wedding. It's kind of absurd how expensive things are here...

Was about 30K. Wish I could've spent more. I would've spent less on the dress too so I could have more on the honeymoon!

we set a budget of 35k. two items we forget about - rehersal dinner and tips. RD was 1500 and tips were approx 2000. we ended up at 37k.

Just waiting on my photos and i will do a full review. You really can do it on a budget. I dont regret a thing pending the photos.
