after planning my wedding for a few months, i'm wondering if i am the only one that is thinking about going into the wedding business..
if you are too, what are you thinking of doing?
i don't know specifically what i want to do yet... but it seems so much fun to be in this business... it's 'happy' money if you know what i mean!!

Honestly, it is not happy at all. I work for a DJ and we have a invite/favore person as well, and being on the other end is not what it seems. Indecisive brides (sorry everyone, but it's true), price shopping, nagging phone calls....the list goes on.
Don't get me completely wrong, there are times when it is a pleasure to help brides plan their big day, but there is so much stress involved as well.......some food for thought
P.S. it's ALL weekends too!

I'm also considering it. I once thought I'd want to be a wedding planner but have changed my mind since planning my own wedding. Now I think I'd like to own a bridal salon someday...out in the Hamptons, since we discovered there is such a need out there!

FH is pushing me to do that when we decide to have a family. Nothing like a wedding planner, but more like opening up my own shop, selling favors, invites, and things of that sort.

As Im learning and crafting along the way, I've considered stationary designing. Of course, I'd want to take a few classes to prepare myself since I only know the basics of photoshop.

I thought it about my ideally I would move to a tropical place and coordinate destination weddings. oh how beautiful is it to dream.

Yup- and I'm doing it.
Every job has it's pros and cons.. I think this one, the pros out weigh the cons.
Destination weddings are certainly something I'm going to add to my list in the near future
