FH and I are looking for a wedding cake baker.... please tell me who's making your cake and did you get to do a tasting?

Sweet Melissa's Patisserie. they're making our grooms cake but they specialize in wedding cakes. We had a tasting and OMG it was amazing.

Our cake was provided by our RH but we did go to their baker to talk about the design and everything.
We used Erga and we didn't do a tasting although I'm sure we could have, b/c we had already tasted the cake at previous events.
We loved our cake, as did our guests.

Dortoni's also makes great cakes, and Cakes by Jay is FABULOUS.

Cakes by Jay and he was worth every penny. Cake was beautiful and delicious and he gives you a tasting!!

Campbells in brentwood........reccomended by my BM at CLM i didnt go for a tasting no time lol and his word on how awesoem they are is good enough

I just spoke to Cakes by Jay recently and he said his cakes all start at $6 a slice, but it depends on the design. Not sure about delivery though

We are using them too because they're the baker who provides the cake for our wedding hall. I hear they're pretty good but they don't seem to encourage tastings. I'm able to taste mine because I'm super picky and insisted I need to taste the only flavor that I'm requesting they make.
