Wedding Cake

Does anyone know the approx cost of a wedding cake. I want about 3 layers I think. We´re going to have 132 people or less.

its usually included in your hall but i think it can be like 3-5 a slice?

yeah, it's around $500, depending how fancy you get (fondant costs about $100 more than buttercream, for example)

I'm honestly not sure because my hall includes it with the cost.

Mine is included with my hall, but I know my mom is paying $3.50 per slice for my engagement party cake (she wanted a tiered cake!).

I've seen the really fancy ones in the magazines for as much as $25 per slice! But on average I'd say they're probably about $5 per slice (so about $1000 based on 200 people).

I forget that things in NY are so much more expensive than here. $500 ($1000 is unbelievable) for cake is a lot here. I do get one with my hall but its really basic and theres some issues to adding things to it. Tomorrow they´ll let me know how much credit I can get if I dont´get the cake there. Depending on that I guess I´ll make my decision.

Avg is $500 add more for fondant or elaborate design and more than 4 tiers.

it should be included in ur price package with ur hall.. u can probably upgrade the cake and can cost a few hundred more depending on what you add.

But I asked about a 3 layer fondant cake and got a quote of 450 from leonettis bakery..ended up going with a 4 tier for 500
