Wedding Cake

Wedding Cake

We are having major drama with our wedding cake. We are getting married at a vineyard and have to purchase our own cake. The baker recommended to us by the caterer is non-responsive and we still have not been able to finalize anything with him. We now have 10 days to go before our wedding. I made an appointment with Le Bonne Boulangerie for this week. I was wondering how much I can expect to spend. We're having 85 guests and I'd be looking for something with fondant but not with any other elaborate decorations.

Thanks.

oh my gosh first of all im so sorry you are having cake drama! La Bonne is a GREAT place, how many tiers are you looking for? that will be a big factor.

Wedding cake is usually 3-5 dollars per slice, depending on how simple or elaborate the design is it can cost from $300 and up.

I'd say with the number of people I have I can't understand how it would be more than 3 tiers. They might even be able to do it in two tiers!

We are actually getting our cake there as well but ours comes with the RH. We did customize it though so we paid a little extra. One option they did mention is if you want to keep costs down, you can have a small cake that's more decorative for you and your FH and then a sheet cake in the back that will be cut up for the guests. When you meet with them they will give you all your options.

Good luck and I'm sorry you have to deal with this kind of stress so close to your wedding date.
