I just got married on October 1, and here's my question. I know my husband and I are supposed to eat our cake on our one year anniversary, but do you keep the entire top of the cake or just a slice? The top is huge and taking up SO much room in my freezer. Do u think I can defrost it and at least cut it in half??????

after hearing how disgusting it tastes, we decided to defrost ours and eat it on our 1 month anniversary.. which is today

I think cutting it might make it more susceptible to freezer burn, but if it's taking up all of the room in your freezer, then you should cut it. My grandparents are storing our cake top in their freezer. We received 2 layers of our cake so I think my mom mentioned something about freezing the other layer and serving it on Thanksgiving. I'm not sure why she'd do that. The cake was good, but I don't think it's worth saving and serving then.
