what's the best, easiest and yummiest cookie recipe to take the shape of a cake? and what about icing? can i get those at supermkts? i'll be placing these cookies in cellophane bags. the icing won't smudge off would it? as you can tell.. i'm not scholar in the kitchen but with a realllllllly easy recipe i'm sure i'll do fine...? also, how many days in advance can i make these? TIA!

I did these cookies. My baker used a simple sugar cookie recipe. Not sure about the icing.
But I did put them in the bags once tehy were COMPLETELY dry.
These were a huge hit. I had people asking if we had any more. And I saw quite a few people take more than one from other place settings (oops!)
