Does anyone know if Crest Hollow has a separate cake vendor that they use for their 'included' wedding cakes? Or are they baked on premises?

I had my wedding there in June - the cake was great - I did not even ask if they baked it there or not. I just picked one out of the book, my florist decorated it with flowers.

The reason I asked is because I've seen about 50 cakes that I have fallen in love with, wanted to know if there was a certain vendor they used so I can see what they do also. But I'll just wait to look at the book.

Hey Annie! I'm getting married at the CHCC 5/18/03. I was wondering if you had a pic of your cake you can post? How many different cakes did you get to choose from?

They had quite a large selection to choose from- just to let you know- only 1 or 2 of the designs are included without an additional charge. The rest of the book of cakes are extra $$, mine was $200, some are more. I have pictures, I will try to scan one in for you as soon as I can.

My brother got married there in August. Let me see if I can post a picture of their cake. It was huge. I am not sur if I got to taste it though...too busy dancing and partying!
I was married there, and chose their cake. I don't remember how many there were to choose from (I think 4 or 5). But, it was big, and it was gorgeous, and it tasted wonderful! I wouldn't worry - they did an AMAZING job!

I don't know if the idea that only 1 or 2 are included and the rest you are charged for should bug me. We were told that any of the cakes they show us are included, and if we brought in a picture that we wanted copied we'd be charged.
I'm sure they are beautiful, and so far my experience has been great with them, but this would bug me a little!
Any thoughts?

Misty, they didn't mention to me either that theree is an additional charge for some cakes. That kinda bugs me in a way as well. If I don't like any of the two choices I have, I have to pay an additional fee for one I like. I mean I want a beautiful cake, and I don't want to settle for something I don't like, but they should have mentioned that to me in the beginning.

I see this original post was from a few years ago, but.....
I know that Crest Hollow as well as Watermill use Erga Bakery in Bethpage for their 'included' cakes. I'm not certain on Watermill, but Crest Hollow uses Erga for all pastries and cookies also. They don't have an on-staff pastry chef. (FH works @ Crest Hollow)

haha...so funny that you found this post. I posted a few months back with the same question. Some of the girls said it was on premises, but I didn't think that was true. My FH works with them, too--but not on staff...he's a (non-wedding related) vendor.
