I'm sorry to hear about your situation. If it helps you feel any better, you are not the only one. I have cancelled 2 engagements before this one. I never got to the planning stages, so it wasn't quite the same, but I wouldn't have cared. Any money lost would have been worth it just to know I didn't make the biggest mistake of my life by marrying the wrong guy. The reason I never went through with it before is now the man I call my FH. Eveything happens for a reason, and if Ihad married either of the other 2, my true love would have gotten away.

There's a country song by Garth Brooks called 'Unanswered Prayers'. Basically, it says that sometimes when you ask God for something, and he doesn't give it to you, it's not that he isn't listening to your prayers but he has something better in store for you further down the road. If he gives this thing to you now, he can't give the better thing (or person, as the case may be) later on. 'Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers.' Just keep that in mind, and good luck.
