I ordered a bird cage. Very simple, nothing fell out and I still have it. I use it for decoration now.

Re: Wedding Cash Box...
I wanted a card box that would be a bit more personalized and functional for us, so we got a photo cube from Ryan at Above & Beyond (who was awesome to work with!). It was a big hit at the wedding. You can see 3 of the sides in the following photos. The 5th side had 2 photos from our engagement shoot.

Check Wine making shops and brewing supplies shops around the Island. I think Arbor wine making sells teh wine barrels, they had some the last time I was there for supplies
ETA: FYI, most wine barrels run around 130+, you may want to check to see if you can purchase a regular barrel for less
Well, I am looking for a mini wine barrel. As you can see from the pic, the barrel is small when compared to the glass centerpieces on the table.
Check if Michaels has small unfinished wine barrels

Re: Wedding Cash Box...
I check Michaels every time I go. The closest I ever found was a half of a wine barrel and I'm mad that I didnt just buy two of them and nail them together. They dont have them in the store anymore! :(

I made one. It was easy to do. I used boxes from home of different sizes, purchased a few yards of fabric in 3 diffrent colors and styles and it cost me around $15.

I just got back from ACMoore and I found (in the hat box aisle) a vintage looking box (looks like a small treasure chest) that says LIVE LOVE LAUGH on the top and sides. I was thinking of making the hole in the top and using this. Not sure yet, but it is a pretty box so even if I don't use it at the wedding I will use it for pictures.
I was just there! I have to look for it tomorrow.. do you have a pic?

Re: Wedding Cash Box...
My mom wanted to make a fishing tackle box as a joke because FH is an avid/obessive angler.. but I said there should be one for each of us. It will be fun to see who puts their card where!
