Wedding Ceremony Help please

Wedding Ceremony Help please

My fiance is Jewish and I am Catholic. However, neither of us are practicing. We are having a judge perform the ceremony. My fiance has one sister who I only met a few times. She lives in a different state and is getting married a month before ours. She has asked us to walk down the aisle with her and her fiances brothers and sister in their ceremony. Now my fiance wants to include her in someway during our ceremony. We do not want to make her a bridesmaid or anything. What are our other options?

Do you ladies have any ideas?

Thanks so much

She can do a reading at the ceremony ...

or she can walk down the aisle (with the bridal party) but not actually *be* a BM ... she'll just walk and sit right away, same as your parents & grandparents.

are you still having any readings done since its a non-religious ceremony? perhaps she can read something? maybe some type of 'in rememberance' poem or passage in honor of family members who've passed away and couldnt be there.

thanks ladies! Those are great ideas unfortunately, I don't think she would like to do a reading if we have any. We don't have a ring bearer don't know if she could do something along those lines but she a 30year old woman not a little boy :)

I have heard of unity candles and sand pouring but my fiance doesn't like those. I have you guys heard of anything else?

Are you having a chuppah? Maybe she can be a chuppah holder?

Maybe she can be one of the people who signs your ketubah (although this is technically not kosher, whatevs).

What if she hands out programs at the door?
