Hi Ladies, I am finally all booked with with my church and venue (two vendors down, MANY to go) and I am having an August Weddings. What colors are you all choosing?
I was considering a bright color like a coral or pink since it is summer, I think I wanted a sunset color. What do you all think?

you can choose whichever color you like ... i don't think the colors need to 'match' your wedding date.
so yeah, i think pink / coral are fine

I like bright colors in summer weddings. I went to a wedding this summer that used pink and it was so pretty.

I'm doing black and 'watermelon' pink from bill levkoff. I think I'm going to do black and white damask with the pink highlights.
I think the pink flowers will look awesome against the black dresses.
I think. I change my mind alot;)
But do what you want its your day. Some people have told me not to do black but hey - its my wedding.

I was originally going to do kelly green with pink, orange, yellow flowers but decided to do more of an eggplant color and ivory Coral is very pretty and a light summer color, remember its what you want

A co-worker of mine did black BM dresses with bright pink/fushia peonies....and it looked wonderful!!!

sounds pretty! I saw a wedding once where all the girls wore coral pinks and burnt oranges to look like a sunset! it was beautiful!!

when you mentioned sunset, this came to my mind. i had an August wedding too and originally wanted the sunset theme!
I love the bright colors! I just think my wedding is going to be closer to a pale color scheme. But coral is a beautiful color!

thats nice but really pic what ever colors you want. My wedding is in July on a saturday night and my girls are wearing pool (similar to tiffany blue) and expresso gowns (in album) with ivory roses. Its your wedding anything goes.

ITA with other posters. Don't feel like you HAVE to do a bright color just because it's August. I got married in May and one of our main colors was BLACK! The BMs all wore black! It was just fine!

Ok thanks ladies!!! I think you all are right...I really like this dress from David's Bridal in Guava and then I also liked a few from Priscilla. I am definitely going to end up with a coral/pinkish/fuschia. Lets see what FH thinks!
