Help! I no this post has been around in the past but I am bringing it back for some inspiration. I was originally thinking of doing green dresses with pink bouquets (my fav color combo) but my sister kept on saying not everyone looks flattering in green ...which I gave some thought about and I see her point. So for awhile now I've been thinking about either royal blue or navy blue dresses with yellow flowers (my 2nd fav color combo). However I just found out the other day that my brother who is getting married this upcoming october his fiance has decided on navy blue and yellow. Now I dont know what to do :(

Uggh that sucks! Now if you choose navy and yellow it will look like you are copying even though you had the idea before knowing. But your 1st choice was green and pink. What shade green were you thinking of?

I am not completely sure about what color green I would do, not a dark green like hunter but also not a pale soft green such as sage. I think more of an apple green I would go for, for lack of a better description. But then again the material of dresses would effect the green color of the dress as well.

I think a green like you are describing would look good on lots of ppl. I know not everyone is a fan of green (although I am, my 2nd fave color!). Maybe just try to stay away from satin. I think a chiffon dress in a nice shade of green would look really pretty!
I think a dress like this (or something similar to that color/material) would look really pretty...
I like green dresses, especially for a spring or summer wedding. Before you completely disregard your favorite color, take your BMs to try on some dresses and see how they look.

Do not disregard your green color...you can not please everyone, just because they aren't crazy about it doesnt mean you have to rule it out. If they love you and care for what you want then they will respect ur wishes...My fav color is pink so all i hear is 'we are gonna look like giant bubblegums' and i say deal with it you dont like it you dont have to be bridesmaid nobodys forcing you...sorry now i sound like im venting lol

Jassy, that dress you posted is EXACTLY what im looking for! I saw it in a magazine in a pink and thought to myself I wish I could see it in green (with one exception I want them to be long not knee length) my FH is muslim and his sister is going to me in my wedding party ...can't show her legs, so for respect to his family and her i want to keep the dresses long. Also, chiffon is DEF the material i was going for as well

stay with green and pink! maybe you can do shades of green so everyone can choose what makes them look good. or else, just decide on a color and know you have all of us to vent to when someone complains - it's YOUR day!

Yay I'm glad you like it. I think that green is really pretty. I totally understand about a long lenth. I like long also. The designer is Jasmine Bridal (my name lol). Def stick with your green and pink theme. I think it will look gorgeous! Don't listen to what others say, its your day, do what you want!

Thanks! I had come across a wedding with those colors while googling pre-engagement and fell in love with the color combo! That was the very first decision after we got engaged haha... I knew I wanted bright, fun colors!

Did you ever think of doing it backwards...so pink dresses with all green flowers? You could even do a green accent on the dress. Most people look better in pink than green.
When it comes to the pictures you want your girls to look vibrant and happy :) Just a suggestion

yes i have thought of doing it backwards and having pink dresses with green flowers. I guess I will just have to wait until we actually go shopping and see what we find
