Wedding colors & venue

Oh boy ladies- i have a feeling i am going to ask a lot of ??'s today- sorry in advance if i get annoying-

we are going BP dress shopping tonite-i haven't picked any wedding colors yet...we're getting married at Leonard's which has a very distinct renaissance style...the question is: do i have to pick my wedding colors that will somewhat 'match' the venue decor??

NOOOOOOOOO you pick what you want! You can plan the decor such as flowers, lighting, linens around the colors you decide.

Have fun!

Some people try to do this, but I don't think it's necessary. There are going to be so many other details that people will be looking at, that the venue color I think would be the last thing they'd look at. For instance, my RH has like a redish-maroonish and beige carpeting. But I'm not choosing my colors based on that. My colors are red (not maroon, but like a claret or scarlet), white (obv), black, and hints of silver. But I chose those colors even before I chose an RH.

I am also having my RH at Leonard's!!! YAY Hall Twin!!!!

What I did was just go with the season I was getting married in. So since I'm getting married in Oct. I choose, Brown dresses for my girls, the guys are wearing black Tux's with sage green ties and vests and the flowers will be white, but for example, BM's shoes and jewlery will be gold and Leonard's does have alot of gold coloring, sooo if you want to go with certain color and just try to accent something with gold or something try that.....

i dont think you need to worry about matching....i would maybe just try not to pick a color that will blend in too much with the decor...but other than that do whatever color you want!!

my brother got married there 15 years ago, his color was teal...
but honestly when everyone is up and dancing... you don't notice was color the carpet or walls are (although that's what I looked at while searching for a hall)
what is your FAVORITE color? every girl has one...

Personally, I LOVE pink...I was thinking about doing different shades of pink- from very light to very hot pink...But still am unsure...

I wouldn't. I would go with whatever colors you love.

My RH room doesn't have a distinct color to it (wood floors and lots of windows) and they are actually re-doing all of the upholstery so i dont even remember what the curtains are going to look like.
The foyer and cocktail hour room i THINK have a burgendy/maroon feel to it.

But no way am i picking my colors based on that.

Nope, you don't have to worry about matching your colors to your venue. At first, I wasn't going to pick colors until I knew the colors of the RH, but then I realized that I wasn't even really paying attention to the colors of the RH, so I just decided to go with what I wanted!
