Wedding Coordinator...

I was wondering if any of you girls are using one, and if you could share some details..
what a coord. actually does/takes care of, etc..and what kind of $$ they charge.. (ballpark)... An out of town friend is thinking about having her wedding up here in NY and would need one to handle some things for her..

I'm using Elaine Deluca from Exquisite Events and she's been such a big help!!! She really thinks of things that I've never even considered and I'm a really detail-oriented person. I'm not using her for full service planning only because I'd already contracted with a lot of vendors when I hired her. But I am using her for day-of coordination and random consultations (for which she charges an hourly rate). She's been so wonderful and your friend would be in very capable hands. Elaine's website has a bunch of info on the different services she offers. I can FM you with day of prices though if that's helpful. Good luck to your friend!
