wedding crasher

wedding crasher

did this happen to anyone else? We actually had someone at our wedding who was totally not invited. My husband's 20 yr old cousin just brought his college roomate with him!! He got really drunk, was really obnoxious, was not dressed properly and sat down at an empty seat and ate dinner!!!
I didn't want any drama that night so I just ignored him, but I REALLY want to say something to his Aunt that allowed her son to do this!! Should I just let it go??

It wouldn't be such a big deal if that last year hadnt been so hard with the guest list, we have HUGE families and could only invite 220 people.....we had to leave very close friends, and a LOT of family off the list....but a cousin's drunk, underdressed roomate got to go!! ugh people are just so stupid

oh and the cousin wasn't invited either....the aunt was invited with her husbad who couldn't make it so she brought her son (and his ROOMATE!!) instead.

I don't know if I would say anything- it may cause some family tension between your yourself/ aunt/ parents. I mean what's done is done.... but it was totally rude!!! I'm pissed for you

Re: wedding crasher

Thats insanely rude!

My sisters wedding was outside and there were some high school kids who tried to come in to the tent- I went up to them and told them to leave and they wouldn't, so Fh and my 6'2 uncle, and my 2 friends 6'0 fathers, and my BFF's FH (who is like all muscle) walked over to them and scared the living crap out of them and they ran off. it was actually very funny. But I know my sister would have been pissed if they had come in and done anything.

Re: wedding crasher

at first I was going to say... if you invited the cousin with a guest and he RSVP'd for 2... no big deal, a bunch of my cousins do that if they don't have a GF..

(of course they didnt get drunk and obnoxious)

but if the cousin was never invited in the first place???

OMG... I would have *words* with the aunt.

HOW RUDE!!!!

Re: wedding crasher

A 20yr old should not have been served alcohol.

Your aunt-in-law showed poor taste in allowing her son to bring an uninvited guest along to a formal affair, and then to have this boor act and dress inappropriately. Might be different if this had been a backyard bbq, butit wasn't.
Let it be done and over with. Not worth the trouble to bring it up with the family.

There's always the cousin's wedding in the future ..............

Not only did I have 1 crasher but I had 3 Against my better judgement I invited my mother's cousin and her husband. They brought their 3 adult kids to the ceremony and cocktail hour. They then found out that my cousin and his gf were not going to make it and they stay and sat in their seats at the reception. The kicker is that they gave us 2 wine glasses and a bottle of wine for 5 people. What is wrong with people Needless to say I don't think I'll be sending them a Thank you!

OMG too funny!! that is really rude though!! I understand the aunt bringing her son in lieu of her husband....but honestly she had to have known that her son was bringing the uninvited roommate....she should've put a stop to that!! so sorry that happened!!

wow some people just don't think. I wouldn't wait till he gets married bc by then you won't be mad anymore. You can either say w.e forget about it.. you had a great time anyways... or you can go to their house when he has friends over and completely embarass him.
