Are any of you afraid that people who are not invited are going to show up anyway?
When I was younger I had a group of friends that I was very close with and we all had parties all the time, and invited or not we'd always crash all of them...
Well one friend, the only one from the group I've kept in touch with, told me not to bother sending the invite b/c he's crashing. Thing is... he's not invited at all.
We were 'very close' and I'd just be uncomfortable having him there even though we've stayed friends over the years. I haven't hung out with him since FH and I got serious over 2 years ago b/c my friend thought it would be weird... but now he wants to come tot he wedding?
He's not looking to start or cause drama. He's not like that. he wants to come b/c he cares, and also, I think it's a type of closure. But honestly, my wedding isn't about closure, it's about a beginning.
I explained to him that he can't come, and I'm hoping he won't... I'm hoping he respects our boundries, and just lets it go...
but now i'm feeling guilty that a good friend is hurt over not being invited.
what would you do if you were in this situation?
if he shows up, should i just play it off and ignore him or have someone remove him? i don't want a scene...

That's a tough one. I definitely would not 'remove' him if he shows, cause that will definitely cause a scene and be very uncomfortable for you Im sure. If he cares abotu you (like you mentioned he does) and know how you feel, then hopefully he won't show, out of respect for you and your wishes. I know I really didn't help here, just my thoughts.

Thats a tough situation, but if you don't think he will start drama if he does happen to show up, I think I would let him stay there unless something does happen, then I would remove him. But you don't want to start a scene by having someone remove him if nothing was started already.. I hope you understand this lol

Hmmm...that's a tough one. Does he know where and when u r getting married? Maybe he's just joking?
If not, does your RH have someone at the door or is there someone in your family who can keep an eye out for him? Maybe u can tell him that because of your past, u would feel very uncomfortable having him there?

I would let your catering hall know that he is not invited and that would be it. I do not think that it is going to be seen as mean, especially since you already asked him not to come

thanks ladies, I don't think I'd have him removed... but I wonder how many people there would say to him 'dude, w t f are you doing here?' before I even had the chance to say something...
I think if he shows... and everyone is 'cool' about it... I'll just let it be. I just don't want FH to think I invited him behind his back or anything...
FH would tell me to just invite him btw... he's not the jealous type or anything like that, but if I were him... I wouldn't really want this guy there... it's just uncomfortable all around...

I 'apoint' one friend as the crasher look out and arm them with phrases to make him want to leave. Such as... *** are you doing here,,,

I was a lil worried of crashers cus Im a dumbas* and when I first signed up on here I put my Best mans full name. And he used to be in a boy band that had/has a big following And i googled him and my LIweddings profile came up!! So I removed his name, but it was still comming up for some reason. So i was worried his random fans would show up, but I dont think it comes up anymore so Im not worried anymore. But if any did show up I'd be very annoyed!

He's a good friend so we've spoken about the wedding on multiple occasions. I didn't feel bad discussing details because I assumed he knew he wasn't welcome, or that he'd have no interest in being there.
He has been given all the information at one point or another but I've never said The wedding is at this time on this date at this place all at once...
but now that I look back, it's almost like he was fishing for the info.

lol one of my guests has a rather large fan base of his own and a lot of people have told me they were crashing to meet him. I know how to handle those people, kick them out! maybe we can exchange famous people for photo ops!

that's a rough situation.. but suppose he did crash the wedding, he wouldn't even have a place to sit. He wouldn't have a place card, etc. don't know if that helps or anything.....

I don't think he'd stay for the reception, I think he'd just stay for the cocktail hour if he even stayed that long. Maybe i should tell him that he CAN crash... b/c then...it's not really crashing anymore and maybe he won't want to do it lol
