I see all the post about kids at weddings and it got me to thinking. I'm doing an adult only affair, with maybe 10 kids that I made exceptions for (that number includes my 10 month old daughter) My cousin is a little angry with my because I won't make an exception for her 3 unmannerly children. I have a feeling she'll bring them anyway.
What do you plan to do if someone brings more people than they RSVP for or for someone who shows up but never RSVP?
I'm not accepting or making arrangements for any extra guest, no exceptions. My aunt ordered 2 extra tables just in case for her wedding, and people showed up last minute, both tables were filled.
Ladies, what's your plan

Re: Wedding Crashers: The Gameplan
I already know that other people will say well what can you do they're already there but if I have to pay for extra people who were not invited or did not RSVP then they will not be staying at my reception. That is plain rude and I will have no problem recipricating their rudeness, especially with unmannerly children. I am giving instructions to my RH that no extra places are to be set for people who just show up. If they do not have a seating card made for them, that is because they did not RSVP or brought people (or children) who were not invited.

Ask for the gift and then make a decision. Just kidding. I didn't think about that and might have a similar problem with a cousin that I am afraid she will bring her daughter anyway. I think my approach will be to allow another place setting instead of allowing the rude person to upset me on my wedding day.

Re: Wedding Crashers: The Gameplan
This is tough we are going to have alot of children at our wedding. all of my fh neices and nephews. However we had to draw a line somewhere so cousins will not be invited with their children. I am going to make it very clear if they rsvp with more that they children are not invited that we do not have the money to invite all of them its like 20 extra kids no way. I am more worried about our Rehersal Dinner. Only 3 kids are invited they are int he bridal party so we will see how that works out scared about that honestly.!

This was brought up once before, and I got crucified for my answer, since I'm not all lollipops and unicorns, but I will take the beating again because this is how I feel:
I will have any uninvited guests/children escorted out!!!!!
Let the crucification begin.

You just made me nauseous because i didn't think of that. We are having no one under 14 and now I'm worried that people will just bring their kids anyway.
