is any one doing a choreographed dance or are most people doing the hug and wobble? FH and I are trying to put something together but are afraid that we will look silly.

Re: wedding dance
we're going to take dance lessons before the wedding, as per FH's request! he's a terrible dancer lol but so cute, and I wouldn't mind the hug&wobble but apparently he's very very nervous. I don't want full choreography, though. Just key steps to throw in and seem polished.

Re: wedding dance
I am wondering the same thing. I've been a dancer all my life but FH is not too much of a mover. I've been to a few weddings where the bride and groom just do some basic steps and the groom always look so nervous - it's a little cute, and a little uncomfortable to watch.
Maybe try video taping yourselves dancing a month before the wedding. If it looks stiff and uncomfortable - go for the hug and wobble. But do the dance lessons no matter what. So fun!!!

Haha hug and wobble! When I realized what you meant that cracked me up! I really wanted to take dance lessons but I think FH thinks we don't need it. Maybe I can sign us up for a few just for the slow stuff...

Re: wedding dance
I really wanted formal lessons, but they are expensive for us. I've heard to try how to DVDs, you can get them pretty cheap on Amazon. Just make sure you read the reviews, they are really helpful.

Re: wedding dance
I bought DVDs! haha we wanted to take lessons but the FH is shy - so once a week we break out a different lesson. In the back of my mind I know we will just sway back and forth and kiss, but I can dream!

Re: wedding dance
I wish FH would give in to me and let me choreograph it, but he wants to hug and waddle, with a few spin moves thrown in. I guess I can live with that, but I'd rather it be more polished. I think its just because I'm a performer and I see it as an opportunity to perform! lol
