wedding date anxiety
as some of you may recall, FH & I have not picked a place yet & have not even settled on a date yet. so the other night we were talking about the options that we have. i have picked one place that i really like, is very convenient & my parents feel they will be getting the most for their money from. my parents said that if we are willing to go with a friday night they are willing to add surf & turf to the menu. which i am all for. originally FH & i decided May would be best. we both love the outdoors & its very important to me to have nice weather & beautiful flowers in my photos. then we thought maybe September because the weather tends to be the same as May & both of our parents were married in September.
Now the other night FH came up with a great idea. ever since we first started dating we have gone every year to the brooklyn botanical gardens cherry blossom festival at the end of april. they offer a place for a wedding reception but we both agreed that its very pricy & it doens't offer a lot for what you are paying. then FH realized that you can have your ceremony there for only $350 during cherry blossom season (April 2010). so i agreed that this is a great idea.
here are the down sides: that only gives me 20 months to save. lets keep in mind that the first 10 months i will still be in college & only working part time.(hopeing i get a full time job once i graduate). & you are only allowed to have 50 people at the ceremony.
someone please offer some advise, please!!!!
