I think I'm looking for someone to drag their a$$es out (literally) of my wedding when they get too rowdy!!

unless they start a fight or try to steal the money box or something like that not sure how much they can do...if they're loud and just being drunk not sure what they can do about that...if they start maybe throwing things and causing a scene then that is different.

And i wouldn't have bouncers really dragging them out but more like going over and telling them they need to come outside...you dont want scenes like that at your wedding...god forbid this happens during your first dance, a speech, cake cutting-it will take all the focus away from you and everyone will be looking to see why someone is getting dragged out

I highly doubt your hall will allow you to bring your own security with you -- unless they happen to be very well insured.

Your maitre'd should be able to escort anyone who gets out of control out. If they are so bad you think they'll be dangerous... then I'm not sure what I would do.

I'd ask you hall before arranging for security, though!

yeah true not sure how an RH will feel about that...Again, i dont know what you mean by out of control guests but like i said if its just loud and drunk guests then you can't do anything about it...We ALL have to expect THAT guest to be at our weddings lol. If they start a fight then that is different

I’m not against the idea of security but dragging guests out of your wedding if they get out of hand is only going to cause a bigger scene.

Plus, you’d have to hire a pretty reputable company b/c of insurance. Your RH is going to want proof that they are in fact a real security company and have insurance protecting each of their employees. What if there is a fight between one of the guards and a guest and them somehow cause damage to your RH. The security company must have insurance to cover these damages.

What if your FH talked to them before the wedding about not getting so out of control?
You may want to try this route before shelling out $$$$ for a security company.

Your RH is also going to be very nervous if you tell them you're going to need security, too...

You are worried about a grown man getting drunk!!
I thought we were talking about your FH friends.
If that’s the case, I think you need to explain to him that how he acted at the other wedding is not acceptable behavior and if he can not act like an adult at your wedding he will not be invited.
At the wedding I would even tell the bartender to cut him off if he thinks he is drinking too much!
If he does get out of hand than you can ask your maitre'd to ask him to leave.
I would hire a security company for one person.
I would also let the step dad that you FH’s dad is coming…..you don’t want him to freak that no one told him ahead of time.

BTW….you have the best wedding date…..it’s my Birthday!!

Why don't you alert the Maitre'd about the situation and ask him/her to handle it? If the stepdad gets out of control, he gets the boot. i wonder if you can also tell the bartenders and table server to water down his drinks. additionally, I wonder if there is a comfortable closet you can stuff him into during the reception? hehe

yeah he's my worst nightmare!!! This guy just doesn't give a crap about anyone and he makes sure we all know that (says it all the time) ...

I'm not sure how warning him about his behavior is going to make a difference bec he just doesn't give a sh*t -- so our strategy is to have a contingency plan to prevent things from getting worse bec we're pretty sure he's gonna get out of control again ...

Hopefully the weather will be beautiful on your birthday next year!!!

... and u have the BEST RH!!! I loooooove OHEKA!!!

I hate to say this but if this really is a huge concern maybe you should consider not inviting him. I mean your wedding is one day and if you are that worried that he will ruin it maybe you have to put you and FH first in this and decide what is best for the 2 of you.
I know his feelings may get hurt but better his than yours…..sorry to be mean.
It’s not fair to you that you have to deal with this. You just want to be happy on that day and not worrying about him!

Thanks!
Well this year will be a little gloomy…..I’m turning 30…

But next year will be SUNNY skies!!!

I like that idea... just point him out and ask them to not make his drinks too strong... unless he drinks straight liquor... then just poor small glasses? This is a tough one... I have 2 friends that I was nervous about them getting too drunk and I actually decided to risk the friendship and not invite them
I just decided that it's MY day and I am not going to have people there that will cause me to worry. These are also people that called the day before my engagement party to tell me they couldn't make it, and never showed up or rsvp'd to my bridal shower... so I don't feel too bad.
