Wedding Day

Emergency kit.

I found this on a site and thought this would be great to share with everyone.
• Needle, thread, buttons, safety pins and stick on Velcro (white & black)
• Extra stockings for you and your wedding party;
• Spot remover;
• Fabric paint for spots that cannot be removed – have colors that match your dress & wedding party and get a few fine paintbrushes;
• Nail polish - color, to match your fingernails, and clear for stocking runs;
• Nail clipper and nail file, toe nail scissors;
• Extra lipstick, powder, blusher, eye shadow, fragrance, tweezers;
• Comb, brush, and hairspray;
• Extra pairs of glasses, contact lenses, eye drops;
• Tissues, cotton balls and Q-tips;
• Aspirin, ant-acid, allergy pills, daytime cold medicine, cough drops and adhesive bandages;
• Prescription medicines you or your groom might need;
• Famine hygiene products, toothbrush, tooth past, mouth wash, floss, toothpicks, mints;
• Extra copies of all passages that are being read during the ceremony;
• Extra copy seating arrangement and seating cards;
• Pen, notepaper, tape, stapler and scissors;
• Cell phone fully charged, telephone numbers for ALL wedding day service providers and each member of the wedding party;
• Golf umbrella – if it rains a regular umbrella will never keep your entire dress dry.

Re: Wedding Day

I read in a wedding magazine to also have chalk in the emergency kit. It covers spots on the wedding gown - you just color the stains in how easy is that, if it works.

Truthfully, more then 1/2 of those things will not get used. The things that you really need the day of is chalk or tide to go pen, tylenol/advil whatever your choice and your normal lip gloss or lip stick. After a certain amount of time you wont care, My dress was covered in stains, was I going to stop in the middle of my reception to clean it...NO! Did it show up in pictures...NO! Did the cleaner get it out-yep.

Dont make yourself crazy trying to remember everything, you either need it or you dont. bobby pins and clean nail polish-not necessary.

I agree with Peggie.
Limit what you will be bringing with you, think about what can fit into your purse, otherwise you will need to schlep along a suitcase for all this stuff.
I didn't carry a lot of stuff with me, just tylenol, zantac, face powder, lip gloss, clear polish, a couple extra bobby pins (I did use these), a tiny hairspray, thread to match my dress, black thread, needle, safety pins, one extra pair panty hose, tide to go pen. I carried a smaller wallet with some cash, one credit card and my checkbook.
It all fit into a small accessory bag that I threw into my bag with the accessories I needed to get dressed at the RH.

If there is a bathroom amenities basket, then most of the stuff on the list will be in there. Also, your bridal attendant will have some stuff available too.
