WEDDING DAY, ARE YOU DECORATING OUTSIDE?

ON WEDDING DAY ARE YOU PUTTING WHITE BOWS, TULLE, ANYTHING OUTDOORS??

My mom decorated the inside of our house. She decorated the banister with tulle and put a wedding wreath on the door.

Outside, my dad made sure to plant hundreds of flowers in the backyard and I believe there were balloons all around as well.

My mom isn't decorating at all outside besides her gardening/flowers. Don't blame her because she says thats like an open invitation for burgulars who then know for sure that you are gone for the day/night.

It happened to my friend actually. Whilethey were at the reception, her mom's house (which was compleltey decorated on the outside) was robbed of nearly everything they held near and dear, jewelry, $$$, electronics..
So if my mom was aready convinced, after hearing that, she doesn't want to chance it..

My mom said the same thing!!! I wanted to put balloons and tulle outside, but she said I shouldn't. She's very cautious

I'm doing that too, but a word of advice...
Have someone take it down before you leave for the reception. It is an easy mark for burglers, they know noone is home for hours. I fell bad bringing it up, but I have heard of it happening.

Yes and since it's halloween, my dad is planting lots of mums in the flowerbeds and maybe picking up bails of hay to give a real autumn feel.

Us too!! Mums and hay and pumpkins will be at FH's house near this GIANT oak tree they have. It's so pretty. Plus we're decorating around the fireplace in case it rains.

We're planting all white flowers in the garden which flows along the walkway from the door. We're experimenting with it this year to see how it looks. I'll also have some kind of wreath up in the front door but that's it.

Wow, I am so glad I read this post. We were going to decorate our front porch with tulle and bows. I hadn't really thought of the fact that it's an advertisment of an empty house for hours. I think I'll skip it. Thanks for sharing!

My mom decorated the outside and the inside of the house so pretty for the wedding. We also got from lillian Vernon one of those flags that you hang outside that is a wedding cake and has doves on it and you can get it personalized with your names and wedding date. I was so sad when she took it down after the wedding - it made me realise it was really over

HA! I thought my mom was crazy! She had the florist do tulle outside that morning and she color-coordinated all of the flowers she planted in the spring to go with the BM & her dress! My stepfather said she was at the nursery a million times to make sure the colors were perfect
