Wedding Day Extras??

Yea if I have the extra cash my wedding gift to fh will be the cigar roller... but i really want the photo booth

My mom is crazy so I have to many to list lol , but one extra that I really want is........................................................................................................................the last hour I want to do Kareoke!!!!! (spelling ?)

oh and I saw on some wedding show, when they had the first dance they popped two balloons and they were full of little balloons that floated up...it was so pretty...!!!

I am not sure if these are considered 'extras' to you guys, but they are things I had never even thought about until I started planning:

The Viennese Hour
A String Quartet to play ceremony and cocktail hour
A percussionist and Sax player to compliment the DJ
2 (maybe 3) photographers

Ya know whats weird.... everyone loves the cigar roller idea yet i havent been to a wedding yet that had one.... although im sure the one im going to in july will have it and of course its one of those friends that gets engaged after you and married before u

I have a friend who got engaged after us, and getting married this coming August. I am jealous and a little bitter too! But Hey, what can you do? Not everyone wants to wait a year and a half to a two years to get married.

I really want a steel drum band at the CH, but I don't think we can afford it.
When we were in the city the other day there was a street performer playing the drums and FH was like 'We shoulf offer him a few hundred dollars to come and play at our wedding'

i went to a wedding with a cigar roller last november in puerto rico and everyone loved it. even a lot of the girls. im not goin to do it in january on long island thoug lol

only extra really is the chocolate fountain... and a snow machine.. but that is a huuuuuuge secret. we arent telling anyone about it. Just a lil suprise for our first dance

we are having a string trio for our ceremony and CH.....lots of DJ upgrades like tons of lights, 4 flat screen TV's, my FH is making our montages, we're having a ceremony recap (my FH works for a DJ company on the weekends once in awhile for extra $$ so that is why we are getting everything), we're having a drummer during the reception that plays along with the DJ, VH with chocolate fountain.....thats it so far - dont know what else we might come up with as it gets closer!

the butterfly idea sounds nice...but I saw it at a wedding and by the time they released them some of them couldnt fly....I think they have artificial ones too.

We're having a mashed potato bar, I'm going to bring stuff for a massive candy bar at the end, I want tv screens with the dj and I'm thinking some sort of mask type thing for each guest as a Halloween type little extra.

I love your idea for the candy bar since your having a Holloween wedding, you can put trick or teat on really pretty bags check oriental trading.com for masks. They have really pretty mardi gras type ones for really cheap

i know there will be a difference of opinions... but i dont think the photobooth is worth 2k... Seems extremely pricey for what you're actually getting...

I hear ya! It def pays to know someone in the wedding industry!!!! We're using FH's friend for the DJing and I plan on gettin live instruments and steel drums through him... How could I afford it otherwise

yes it definitley helps! that is how we got hooked up with the string trio and the drummer - FH knows them too so we still have to pay but at least its at some kind of a discount.....we are having 2 DJ's - one that FH always works for and the other one is a younger guy who DJ's at some clubs in NJ as well as for the DJ company - he's nobody big really but he does some of his own mash ups that are pretty cool and he DJ'd our e-party.......FH will be working hard on our montages - i know he is going to try and make them really nice and i think he is going to put some video clips in them here and there.....if it wasnt for him DJing weddings as side work there is NO WAY we coud have afforded to get married in 08 - we would either had to have gone without it or had a longer engagement. its kind of nice that we dont have to worry about our entertainment to much.....i just wish FH would find out exactley how much we have to 'tip' them
