Wedding Day Gift for FH?

I'm having a Giants-themed groom's cake made for my FH by our bakery, but I ordered a bunch of decorations for it online. Sugar logos, a bunch of pennants, a little football player bobblehead, etc. The package is arriving Monday, I tracked it. My FH has the day off on Monday, so I told him the package is coming, but he's not to look at it, not even the return address, as it's 'Sugarcraft' and he'll figure it out. Well...I guess he thought it's a wedding day present. Because he said to me, 'You got me a surprise? Well, I got you a surprise too.' I wasn't going to get him a wedding day present as he's SO hard to buy for. He's the type of guy who, if he wants something, he buys it. We're doing OK moneywise, so it's not a problem, except when it comes to me having to buy him gifts, because there's nothing left to buy. I ran out of things to buy the first two years of dating.

What can I get him?? He doesn't wear watches, so that's out. Doesn't wear jewelry--he even tried (not very hard, though) to get out of wearing a wedding band. He's a total computer geek, but he just recently bought himself a tablet PC and a pocket computer. He has a great digital camera. The only thing I can think of is we had planned to go kayaking last fall on vacation on Block Island but the weather was too bad both days and we couldn't go out as it was too rough--I could get him a gift certificate for lessons. Except it's supposed to be a couple activity, so it's not really a present for him, it would be for both of us, really.

For those of you buying wedding day presents, what are you getting?? Help!

MY Fh is a pain in the butt to buy for also...here are some gifts in the past that i got him & he loves and actually uses....

Playstation2 (ok that was many years ago...how about a Wii or the newest game console)

a really nice hammock with a beautiful wood stand...he uses it whenever the sun is out

a business card holder from Tiffanys that i engraved his initials on the front & a short poem on the back

a money clip from Tiffanys

The hammock is a great idea, I'm going to file that one away for when we buy a house--but right now we live in an apartment, so no place to put one. He doesn't play video games, and we already have a couple of consoles he doesn't use. He wouldn't use a money clip or a business card holder, I know him. That would be a 'Oh, sweetie, thank you!' and then they'd get put away in a drawer and never seen again. As I said, he's difficult. If I could buy him a silver-plated Superman T-shirt, that would be great.

But thanks! Especially for the hammock, I'm definitely going to get that one someday.

hope you dont mind me crashing.. but my FH is horrible to buy for... hence today is is b-day and he got nothing..lol he got a couple seasons of a TV show he loves but thats all i could think of...

he doesnt like jewlery and he doesnt wear a watch. he does wear a claddah ring ibought him years ago but thats about it

he doesnt smoke but he does LOVE cigars (he thinks it makes him look cool) hes a dork... but he always said 'one day ill have a nice house be retired and sit on a balcony with a beer and a cigar' so i thought it would be cute to start off on the right foot...

so he'll be getting a personalized Humidor (sp?) to keep cigars in and some expensive cigars...

i dont know if your FH is into that but that would be nice or maybe a nice Pocket watch to wear on special occasions or even just on the day of the wedding and he can pass it to his son

I'm VERY happy my FH doesn't smoke cigars--I HATE the smell of them, it makes me sick. If he did I'd make him stop. Besides, cigars are much worse than cigarettes for your lungs, much worse. So even if he only smokes once a week, it's the equivalent of several packs of lite cigs. Ick.

The pocketwatch isn't such a bad idea. I had the sudden idea in the middle of the night of getting him a really nice Swiss Army Knife, there's a store in Soho that I pass all the time. He has a Leatherman tool he keeps with him, but not in his pocket or anything. Maybe tomorrow, when I'm at work and he can't catch me looking at the website, I'll check out the Swiss Army stuff.
