I have a really short Hallie Berry Cut. The wedding is in May. Do veils normally look better with long hair? Should I start growing it now?

IMO, it is really up to you. I would not say that a veil looks better with longer hair, I think it is a matter of personal choice and what you are comfortable with.
Either way, it will look amazing
Now, if there is a certain style of hair that you are looking to do, then I would let it grow.

Did you see the post on DIY on how to make your own veils. I would love to try it, just don't know if I'm that creative or patient.

Re: Wedding Day hair
I had the same length hair when I was a senior in high school and I didnt want to wear the graduation cap with short hair thinking that I'd look like a boy so I started growing it out in Sept and by graduation time it was only a little past my ears. I guess it really depends on how quickly your hair grows but that's how long mine grew. And if you do start growing it now, and it ends up being shorter than chin length, what kind of style would you do for hair that short anyway? I think SHORT short hair is beautiful. I vote on KEEP IT!

I love my hair short, I feel like a 16 year old with long hair. But I can grow it so that It's atleast to my ears, or maybe I'll keep my short cut and wear a wig
I laugh now but who knows

i think you'll look the best just being YOU!
everyone, IMO, wants to look like themselves on their wedding day! if you get extensions or a wig, you'll probably feel a little silly when you look back on these pictures...

Re: Wedding Day hair
I had really short Halle Berry hair too.. and I started growing it 2 years ago.. and I am just past my shoulders..
I think short hair is GORGEOUS.. and no I don't think you should have to grow it out..
(I miss my short hair!!!)
and PS... I STILL have to add extensions to my hair..
Even brides with long hair put it up in that wedding tight bun type hairdo. If you want something like that they have attachable pony tails, buns, stuff like that to give your Tiara a little something extra to hang onto.
