Wedding Day job for an 8 yr old

Ok, so my 8 year old nephew is not in the wedding, but he is wearing a tux and is very excited. He is thinking he will have a 'job' at the wedding...and supposedly has been telling all of his friends. It's cute.. and I wish I could think of something. Any ideas? We are having the ceremony at the RH, so my first thought was ....greeting guests and directing them to the ceremony ..... we aren't doing rice/bubbles/or anything like that ..... if you can thing of ANYthing please share! Thanks

He can be an 'usher' and hand out programs, and direct people to there seats.. basically just point...

You can have him be a camera man and take candid pictures of different people sitting at the ceremony or at cocktail hour or whenever. Just not too much time so he can eat at cocktail hour too!!

He can man the guestbook and take pictures there as guests come in for a little bit.

Would you consider him doing one of those 'Here comes the bride signs?'

What about being a charge of the guestbook?

I wasn't planning either, but I think I am going to do one of those puzzles or Yanks jersey that everyone signs. It's kinda something you keep that everyone writes well wishes on (I think)

I had the same problem with my nephew...I have him now being the 'flower girl escort.' He will do a good job steering them down the aisle!

For you to remember all of the guests that came to your wedding and they can leave fun little 'best wishes' in it. We're doing the fingerprint tree, so say you did something like that--he could be in charge of explaining to the other guests what to do, etc.

I like the idea of having him hand out programs if you planned on having them

Thanks ladies! I'll probably have him take some candid pics of guests as they arrive and also 'man' the guest book (or whatever we decide to have them sign)..... I'm not doing a program, we are having a short ceremony but that is a great idea too
