Hi. Can someone suggest a good makeup artist for me? I am getting married this September in Nassau County. Someone doesn't use that much makeup but does a great job. Thank you!

Since your wedding date is the same as mine, I know from calling that JN, Jen from Fairytale make-overs, and Boushelle is booked on your day. I went to an amazing trial though to a lady named Denise (Lisa on the board is using her also). Denise's number was 516-241-9805... Pauline was also great- I really thought she did an amazing job with makeup. Her number was 516-678-8273. Both the sweetest and amazing!

I had my make-up trial with Jackie of I Make Up You - she's a vendor on this site. I loved, loved her work and she was awesome to deal with. I booked her for my wedding on the spot, I was so happy with her work.

Edited to say - she works out of a salon in Massapequa, and will come to you the day of the wedding!!

Any suggestions for color of flowers. My bridesmaid dresses are celadon green. Red would look great but what other colors?

Clubba- We are both on Sept 20, which is awesome! Let me ask you- Is your wedding dayor night affair? Also, is it black tie? That will help with the colors... I love the bm dress color- Mine is Garnet Red and I might do the flowers in purple, burgundy, pale yelloW, light green, and dark green... For yours, it might depend on time of day...
The cermony is at 2:30 the reception starts at 6:30 at the Watermill. It is not a black tie affair but formal. I have my band and my photographer. I am on to florists now but I am stuck on colors, not so much for the table arrangements but for the girls bouquets. How about you how id your planning going? The colors you mention for flowers sound nice and Garnet Red is a great color.

Welcome clubba20. I too am a September bride (you should check out our thread, there is alot of us). I am going for a gold/cream theme. My flowers are 'sahara rose' which is sandy beige. The girls are wearing champagne dresses. Good luck in planning and welcome.
