Re: Wedding Day Nails
christyyes i have done alot! we got engaged in september and as soon as we were, i researched vendors and we booked them. we pay as we go and its hard, because, like alot of people, we are paying every last penny ourselves.
also, now i have 'time off' from planning. I dont have to really start doing stuff again until October. This is my 'vacation' time
you seem on the ball yourself.
Do you have alot left to do?

Re: Wedding Day Nails
I've been thinking about that lately. I don't like french on fingers (love it on toes though). Plus my fingernails peel like crazy at the ends so french would never stay put.Not sure what to get....plus my dress is ivory so a white color won't look right???? maybe I can get a cream color, but that is boring, huh?
Any other ideas out there?

Re: Wedding Day Nails
MRS2BE..I definetly want to get the acrylics for the wedding. Please let me know what a permanent french is, and I would love the name of the manicurist. I live in Selden and Smithtown is not far at all, I actually get my hair done at a salon in Smithtown.

Re: Wedding Day Nails
I didn't do french - just a sheer/shimmery white. French just isn't my style. I was very pleased

Re: Wedding Day Nails
Permanent french uses white powder for the tips of your nails (which makes the 'french' part) and they use pink powder to fill in the rest of your nails. You can either use clear polish or they have sheer pinks and beiges to put on top for polish.
A full set is a little pricey...but maybe they can work with you. After 2 fill-ins (which is every two weeks) they do a 'rebalance' and apply the white powder again, since it grows out.
My manicurist is Jenn and I've been going to her for a while. She's at Enchante (vendor on this board) She just started at Enchante recently but she's been doing nails for years. Their # is 979-2300 - tell her Alyssa recommended you...I'm actually going tonight to see her!

Re: Wedding Day Nails
I'm going to use something like a translucent pink, but not with a frost or anything.I like the way the French Manicure looks too, but it never last on my nails!

Re: Wedding Day Nails
Thanks Alyssa, it sounds great. I think I will use that for my wedding. Especially if the fill in's are 2 weeks out, they should last great for the honeymoon and the holidays as well, getting married 12/15. Thanks again

Re: Wedding Day Nails
I need a good manicurist. I want to put nails on mine. I'm engaged, but I haven't gotten my ring yet. From what my FH is hinting I should be getting it by the end of the month. And I want my hands to look attractive. Could you give me the name and number? Thanks
