My nails are real and pretty short? Should I just do a regular manicure or should I have them do the silk wrap with a permanent french???
I don't want anything too long and I don't want tips!
TIA

Re: Wedding day nails..what to do???
I love my regular nails and don't have anything on them now.......I get a regular mani every saturday. The only reason I am doing wraps for the wedding is because I want them to last for the HM....I will be putting them on about 3-4 weeks before the wedding, with permanent french, and then taking them off when we get back from the HM!

OH wow..you need to do wraps that soon before the wedding? My wedding is this Saturday.. I guess it is too late for a permanent french then..

no its not late....I am just putting them on earlier so I can get used to having them on, that's all. You can totally go in for a permanent french silk wrap set still, its not too late. Or you can even get the permanent french gel manicure...I heard those stay also!

no, you can have them done a few days before. they will look fresh!
I would start toying around with it now if I were you. I got uv gel and it took me forever to find someone who actually did a good job, I'm glad I started it 2 months before.
You can always get the new OPI gel manicure, its a regular manicure with a gel polish and it lasts about 2 weeks - cheaper and better for your nails than gels or wraps...

I used to get silk wrap untill I discoverd perm french.
I LOVE LOVE LOEV LOVE perm french!!!!! Its takes about 2hrs for the initial sit down and its expensive. Prob $120.
But they last and look lovely for 2-3 weeks. I get mine short. I dont like long nails. But they loook really nice even 3 weeks out.
The silk wrap is STILL doing a french POLISH. So as the mani wears out, the white chips and fades. With the perm, the white NEVER chips.
my 2 cents :)

Re: Wedding day nails..what to do???
I have perm french and I LOVE it too! It's cleaner looking and no one can mess up on the straighness of the line. PLUS, added bonus is that when you're done, you get up and leave, no waiting for your nails to dry.
I spoke my nail girl (in East Meadow and is AWESOME) and she told me she's giving me a new set of nails the day before the wedding so they look fresh. Sometimes when the wrap grows out you can see a line, depending on a couple of things, so she's gonig to do a fresh set the day before to avoid that line.

I am getting a regular manicure.
IMO, all of those other things ruin your regular nails.
