I didnt wear anything! I had a few options but I didnt even think about it that morning.

Banana Republic makes a very 'fresh' smelling perfume. I cant remember what its called but its quite light.

I used to wear VS Heavenly, loved it. I like Body by Victoria perfume, too.

Tocca is a very light scent that I wear most of the time, but it's like $50 for a fairly small bottle. You can find it at Sephora.

I had a bought a bottle of Ralph Lauren Romance and decided not to use it until the day of the wedding. Well, by the time I got ready and the photographer showed up...I forgot all about the perfume!

Oh well...I had a fresh bottle waiting for me when I got home from the honeymoon at least!

I would try Sephora or the Bloomingdales. I've found them to be very helpful there...

I totally forgot on my wedding day! (I usually wear perfume - like Clinque Happy - but figured I would wear something nice that day - my cousin always has something great - but I got dressed and was running around and like someone else here the photographer came and I forgot!)

I wore MANIFESTO by Isabella Rosellini...here's the description from the manufacturer:

Sparkling and fresh

Manifesto was created by the design house of Isabella Rosselini. It opens with the warmth of basil, undescored by incisive pepper and citrus essences. Manifesto heart notes are revealed in a bouquet of white flowers, sweet pea, jasmine, and rose.

I too, tend to get headaches from anything that is too strong or musky. I usually wear JESSICA MCCLINTOCK (the original scent) or Clinique HAPPY. But for my wedding day, I wanted something different, romantic and pleasing to my senses.

Edited to add - another one of my all-time favs is Estee Lauder PLEASURES. Very light and floral. But, I don't have any left... I'll have to ask Santa for a new bottle.

Hubby wore Ralph Lauren ROMANCE for men.

Stick to a perfume you know won't give you a headache. I wouldn't try anything new. You wouldn't want to risk a headache that day!

I second Estee Lauder Pleasures. It is a very light scent. I get headaches from perfumes too, but never had a problem with Pleasures

Re: wedding day scent

JenHos has a point about not experimenting with anything new on your wedding day. I just wanted to second that sentiment, and add that I 'test drove' my wedding day scent extensively.

I started 2 months prior to the wedding day. First, I sprayed myself with a sample at the perfume counter while I was out shopping. By the time I got home, the scent had faded slightly, and mixed with my natural scent, and I loved it even more.

So, I bought some for myself and began wearing every once in awhile as a change from my everyday scents that I mentioned above. I wanted to be sure it wouldn't make me sick, but I also wanted it to still seem new and fresh for the wedding day.

I also want to add that you should give alot of thought to your wedding day scent and even the scents you choose to bring on your honeymoon. Our sense of smell is one of the most powerful triggers of memory in our lives and everytime you smell these scents for years to come, they will bring you back to your wedding day or honeymoon.

Special note to JENHOS - if you do go to Tahiti, you will forever remember your honeymoon by the smell of the homemade soaps, shower gels, lotions and bathing oils infused with coconut and vanilla that they stock in the guest rooms. I brought some home with me last summer, and I will forever be transported back to the South Pacific by these smells.

I suffer from migraines, so I do understand exactly what you mean! It is very difficult for me to go to department stores (I can swear I hear gasping from the ladies on the board), because I leave with a headache 90% of the time due to all the scents/smells in there!

I have worn clinique Happy for a while, and will do so on the wedding day, because I know I have no reaction to it.
