Wedding Day Stationary - is it okay if it all doesn't match?
For the LONGEST time I have had the idea of doing table names and place cards that have a Yankee theme to them - most of you probably know why lol
I figured the menus would look like the invitations.
Do you think it's strange if not EVERYTHING looks like the invites?
Do I maybe just do the table names at Yankee themed? And leave the place cards and menus to match?!?!
We don't have too many touches of Yankees going on and these were going to be it - but now, I'm kind of torn
PS - favor tags too, Yankee theme or invite theme??

hmmmmm im not sure....i don't really think its strange if not everything matches exactly...i'm sure guests won't even realize lol
what if you did the table numbers like names of famous yankee players but made them in the fonts/colors of your invites? this way you still have the yankee touch that you want, but everything still matches?
as far as favor tags - what are your favors?

favors are bags of cracker jacks and we are doing a donation.
My invites are pinks LOL so having a photo of Mikey Mantle with pink lettering just doesn't seem right lol I think if our invites weren't shades of pink I wouldn't be having this problem.

Is pink your overall theme besides yankees? (the girls dresses, flowers, etc.?) If so I like the idea of matching some of the stationary to the invites, and then doing just a touch of the yankees like you were saying. I think its ok if some parts go with one theme and some with the other. Maybe table numbers and favor tags yankees? And the other stuff pinks?

No one will look that deeply into this. I promise you.
You're the only one to whom this is probably some major monumental decision, so just go with what you love the most. No one else will care that much...

i really don't think it matters if it all matches. like what was said above, you're the only one that'll really notice these tiny details (maybe a bride to be who'll be there ) but i wouldn't stress over it. Sometimes too matchy matchy could be too much as well and i personally think it's better when not everything matches

I honestly think that not matching is FINE!!! I think its more important to incorporate things you love, and things that are special to you, than stick to a color scheme.
I can honestly say that I don't even remember if the stationary from weddings I've been to have matched, but I did notice all the personal touches!
