Hello FH is going out of town next weekend soI am going shopping for my wedding dress for my first time next week ( I am SOOO excited)and I was wondering what the appropriate under garnment to wear is. I know this might sound silly but should I bring a strapless bra? my regular bra? no bra? and does it matter about thong or seamless underwear? Thank you!

you can bring your own strapless bra.. most places have like extra slips for you to try on with dresses

I would also recommend wearing boy shorts or some sort of full underwear (not a thong) because there will be someone helping you get in and out of the dresses...

When i went for my dress i used a strapless bra, boy shorts and a spanx. I also brought shoes that would be around the same height as ones i wanted for wedding day.

strapless bra and nude/beige underwear (the first time I went I wore black and it ruined the way some of the dresses looked like)

Thank you sooo much!! It is greatly appreciated! yea lol i guess a thong wouldnt be the way to go with my grandmothers, FMIL, and mother there!

Just a strapless will do the trick! TMI-but I'm a thong wearer so that's what I wore, believe me, the women who work at bridal shops have seen it all! Good luck!

I wore a strapless bra and Spanx 'Power Panties'...they suck in your hips and booty, and you get a better idea of mermaid/trumpet/sheath silhouettes-also they allowed the dresses to slip on and off really easily. Bring heels too-there's something yucky about wearing the sample shoes they have for you, since so many other girls have worn them.
Get ready your butt is gonna be up in the consultants face!! I was thanking my starts I was smart enough to go in spanx.
Also-make sure you eat and drink water-it gets exhausting.
And try not to try on more than 8 dresses is a day. Its so overwhelming and by dress number 3 it gets very blurry.
1 last thing-DO NOT bring a lot of people. Just bring like 2, or you'll start reacting to everyone else's reactions.

That's the best advice!!!! I had no clue that they did this and I spontaneously went shopping on sat and I tried to keep my jeans on and the lady said ' You know you can't try on dresses with jeans, silly!!!!'
