how much did you pay for your dress? i am looking to spend about $600.00, a little more or less. i am looking to go to places in suffolk or in nassau but in the massapequa area, not to far.

I got mine from the commack wedding center - they have TUNS of dresses and I didnt see anything over 1k. they had LOTS of gorgeous ones around the 600 price range.
Davids Bridal... or find your dress in a salon and see if it is cheaper online.

Try the Bridal Garden in Bethpage on Broadway...My SIL got her dress there & it was under $600...We also got our BM dresses there...Very reasonable & very pleasant

Keep in mind that even if your dress is $600 there are a lot of other costs to factor in. You need to budget for alterations, headpiece, veil, shoes and any undergarments you may need. I'm not trying to be a downer at all, I just want you to be prepared. Good luck and happy hunting!

Also try Lidia's Bridal in Copiague... they are so nice there and they have a decent selection in that price range.

Charmet in Bayside is supposed to be right in that range and I've heard Lillette's in Baldwin is good for inexpensive gowns as well.

i wound up getting an ian stuart dress that wasn't in my budget ($1,100) for $700 because i asked if they had any sample dress at bridal suite of centereach. they had a lot from just that designer alone all discounted. basically you buy it off the rack. it had been tried on a few times before but they clean it for you and fix any beadwork if it needs it. whereever you wind up going it may be worth it to ask about the off the rack dresses.

I bought my gown in California, so I can't tell you where to get a dress in NY. BUT, I can tell you that my designer makes BEAUTIFUL dresses with beading and they weren't too expensive. I got my dress and princess bridal in Farmingdale..
My dress cost 800.00 (plus 80 for bustle)
They have all range of prices there.

I would also say the Bridal Garden in Bethpage. My dress was $585 I think before tax & alterations. I guess it depends ont eh manufacturer, but none of the ones I looked at were over &700, but I didn't looka t prices on all of the ones I tried on.
Its not too far from the Nassau/Suffolk border. Its actually just a few exists north of Massapequa on 135.

oh no, the $600.00 is just for the dress. i have budgeted alterations and everything else seperate.

My dress came to $840... after a $100 charge for hollow-to-hem and tax. It is from the Commack Wedding center. They have a lot of dresses even cheaper than mine. They also have all the samples discounted i think 50% in the place where they do alterations.
