I was tearing out stuff from my Modern Bride tonight, and I came across this thing that said that Issac Mizrahi is going to be designing wedding dresses for Target!! They had a pic of one and it was super cute (very simple - more beach wedding than RH style), but it was only $70!!!!
It SAID that it would be on target.com starting Nov 15- but I didn't see anything on it yet...
Also..... could I get away with using this dress for my BM?? It's only $40 and is exactly the look I want!!! (In black too!)
the black target dress is very nice in the pic online, and looks like a tea-length BM dress...BUT you have to realize that the material is 99% cotton. the pretty pic on line is photographed and airbrushed an such....but a cotton dress in real life and being photographed for a wedding, may look just like that...a cotton summer dress. i suppose it all depends on your overall style of your wedding. are you going for more casual/beachy? you might be able to get away with it. but if you are having a more formal affair, i think an actual gown would be better.
but again, that's JMHO! kudos to you for trying to save your BM's some money, but remember you want them to look gorgeous that day too!

good point. I am going relatively 'beachy' - but maybe not THAT beachy.
Although I will say that I was in Target the other day and saw a couple of really cute party dresses that I thought would be totally fabulous for a BM dress!
We'll see....

Do you remember the movie from the 80's when the guy was locked in target overnight with jennifer connelly? I ask people this all the time and everyone insists I made it up but its a real movie!

HAHA it's a real movie, I don't think I'm going to tell anyone about it ever again because every time I mention it I get the 'how did you get that straight jacket off' look
