WEDDING DRESS

Hi Everyone,

So i have looked at ton's of dresses and I still haven't found anything that I have gone crazy over. I have found tons of beautiful dresses but nothing I wanted to leave a deposit on. Now People are telling me that I am late and I need to go ASAP. Can you tell me the latest I can wait and If I am being rediculous. I actually don't want to go dress shopping again. lol. I felt like it was a huge pain...

Help me

You are not too late! I was nuts and ordered mine in February and it was in last month!! That was fast, but you have some time still.

I would try to order by october..that gives you 8 months and should be enough time for most designers!

Thats what i thought but the Lady said October gives me 7 months and then Christmas time (the whole month apparently) doesn't count. I am actually really annoyed. I am constantly being pressured and I would like to just hold off a bit. I don't know how I can pick something now knowing I will change my mind in a month....

I know how you feel. I ordered a dress spontaneously on the first day of wedding dress shopping (sooooo not like me) and 5 minutes later I started crying to my mom about how that's so not me to just spontaneously buy something so important like that. So, luckily we were able to cancel the order b/c we went back immediately.

So, second time around...I looked on a ton of websites (instead of just trying on a million dresses)...and I found the perfect dress!!! I called a bunch of stores and found a few that had that dress...tried it on and it was PERFECT!!! My mom came a few days later to see the dress and she started crying b/c she said it was so beautiful on me. No, not everyone lucks out with finding a dress they love online and then it actually being perfect for them...but hey, you never know. It beats trying on tons of heavy dresses.

My advice...search online and pick 3 or 4 that you really love. Find out what stores have them and try them on. =) Are you looking for a particular style? Maybe I can help you find one. ;)

DON'T put a deposit down unless you absolutely love a dress !!! Don't worry... you will definitely find one you love !!!

i've been worried about this myself bc the lady @ bay shore bridal said sept was the absolute latest. i posted on BHB, and the amount of time for the dress to come in after it was ordered ranged anywhere from 5-8 months. remember to leave time for alterations. worst case scenario: you pay the rush charge.. good luck

try not to let it stress you out... take your time and make sure that you love it before you buy it...

I would say anytime between 6-10 months. But 6 months may be cutting it CLOSE. You don't want to worry and be sick over the fact that it may not be there in time, you know?

I think I will try again next week. I just haven't found the one. Can anyone name me places besides Lilettes and Burtons to try on maggie dresses. I am in South Shore Nassau.

I think you should definitely make sure you are ordering the right dress. I haven't even started looking for dresses yet, and am not going to until next month. I would rather pay the extra rush fee than choose a dreww under pressure.

I recently went to the wedding center in comack..It's a little bit of a ride but it was worth it..They had a huge selection and the staff was really nice. The even opened for me on Sunday (normally closed) because I couldn't get there during the week. Good Luck!!
