Wedding dress

When is the right time to start dress shopping? I was thinking about starting at the end of may or June. Am I waiting too long?

I got engaged not the New Years Eve that just passed, but the one before that, and I wanted to start looking at dresses the first weekend after. Well I ended up gettign my dress like 5 days after we got engaged LOL. So it is never too soon go whenever you like ;)

I will be ordering mine either next week ( which will be just about the one year mark) or theweek after. And I thought it was too early but my moh made a good point.....better early then late. And sui what if it sits in the closet for a month! At least you have it.

I ordered mine at the one year mark. It just came in the end of February. I started my search though in the end of march 2013 and didnt find my dress until june so I would start looking around april :)

Pfern we're date twins :) I'd use the next two months to narrow down the search to what you like, then go in May and June. All designers are different, I've had friends get their dresses 2 months after ordering, and others not till like 6 or 7.. you never know.

Most places recommend at least 8-9 months for your dress to be ready in time. This time frame includes ordering as well as any alterations needed.

My wedding is in July and I believe I started looking in May of last year for my dress and finally found 'The One' late September. I remember I had my appointment with Bridal Suite of Bayshore on my one year mark.

I got my dress at vows. We went up to boston in August because we wanted to go when it was nice out and this august would have been too late in case I didn't find a dress. I think you can go anytime. You're pretty close to the one year mark.
