My wedding is in August, but I still haven't gone my dress altered. I would rather not just go to anyone as I am afraid they could mess it up. I'd really appreciate it if you could recommend someone who is good and not too expensive. Most likely, my alterations will only involve taking in a bit at the bust area. I do not really know too many people and have no one to ask for advice. :( I truly appreciate your help. I live in Jersey City area, but could go to New York, Brooklyn, etc. Thank you very much.

do you not want to use the place you bought your dress from? just asking bc if you get alterations done at the place you bought your dress from then they cap the price for alterations which helps bc wedding dress alterations can get pretty pricey so at least if its capped you know the most you would spend on it.
Unless you heard bad things about the alterations then i understand
I know of somebody who is really good but she is located in queens in forest hills. A few girls on here used her for their wedding dresses. I used her for other occasions and she did a great job and both my Mom and MIL used her for their dresses on my wedding day. Let me know if youre interested

the address is 70-09 austin street, its right above a store called oz boutique, in front of oz you will see stairs and you just go up to the 2nd level and its right there. Her phone number is 718-263-0461
i dont know how much for a wedding dress, i got other evening gowns altered there. A few girls on here did use her for their wedding dresses, so hopefully one can come on here and tell you exactly but many did say she is reasonable. Or just call the number and ask her.
She did such a great job everytime i used her, and also for my mom and mil for their dresses. I also know she does alot of bridal work
